Ah yes....surprising as it is for some people, Rick Springfield is a master guitar smasher! I've seen him many times live and he is a sight to behold on stage, a wild man in concert. He also smashes rose bouquets against his guitar, strumming it as he does so & creating a beautiful "rose explosion." ;-) And of course, he was a "child" of the 60's, so a few of his musical influences are Hendrix, Townsend & The Beatles (just to name a few). He was raised up on some of the best in rock n' roll.
As for Kyle Busch's guitar/trophy smash....well, I can kind of see both sides of it & why some might not like the smashing. It was definitely unexpected for the fans! But for me....I'm always game for some good "guitar smashing!" ;-)
