I really love F1. But the very few times I have watched NASCAR here in Spain (in Europe) I liked it a lot as well.
Each one of them has good and bad things. But anyone who says "F1 is a piece of shit" or "NASCAR is a piece of crap" is not a true motorsports fan.
Regarding the nuts, probably that is restricted by the NASCAR rules. The teams are not stupid: they know that it is faster to change a wheel using only one nut, so there MUST be a reason why they use 5, and a gravity tank instead o a pressurized hose.
