@Steven. To be sure, time will tell. In all fairness, I didn't say he came from nowhere. In fact, I am very aware of his Nationwide career, and actually, on the basis of his performance there (in less than the greatest equipment) I see a lot of potential in the guy.
People may look down on plate victories, and you may very well have a point. Yet consider what got him there: patience, staying ahead of trouble, and hitching his wagon to other drivers he could depend on not to throw him under the bus. He earned it, if you ask me.
