I like your ideas overall. I think NASCAR should still visit some of the short tracks twice since there are so few of them, though Iowa is a nice addition in that department (as would North Wilkesboro be if it were still practical to race there...but it probably isn't). Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Pikes Peak has closed. I definitely like having fewer races and ending sooner, though I don't think Daytona is the right place to end the season...too many things are left up to chance there. I think the championship should be decided at a track where drivers tend to finish based on how good or bad their cars are and very little is left up to chance...and Atlanta is the best example of that track, not to mention the historical significance of ending the season there.
