I really want to believe Mayfield, I really do. Any time I can root against NASCAR and for the drivers/teams I am more than happy to do so. This whole story is just so kooky that I can't do it.
It's funny that when Clemens, McGwire, Bonds and others are accused of using steroids they go silent, and everyone says "if you're really innocent you should be screaming it from the mountaintops"... Well, that's what Mayfield has done, but then he can't seem to stop throwing around these crazy accusations (mother in law killed his dad, NASCAR framed him, aliens abducted him and put the meth in his body), missing drug tests, etc...
