Good for you Jim McCoy, Bravo!!! Keep speaking your mind! High speed parades do not cut the mustard anymore. A timeline of the horrible rule changes should be created and the worthless rules should be discarded. The double file restart was created (1960s) to have a "fast lane" for the fast cars of Petty, Pearson, and anyone else that thought they were "fast" to pull into, then it was ruined by the "lapover" cars. Whenever the yellow came out, you could duck into the pits immediately and turn the race upside down, then (1988-1989) double disasters occurred and it was ruined by "lining up behind the pace car" and creating the nuclear arms race of "pit crew racing". Richard Petty was quoted years ago" "they might need a speed limit on pit road one of these days". Crappy rules were piled on to of crappy rules, which resulted in you guessed it!! Tiny Lund's 1963 winner has just been lauded and guess what? IT WAS A FUEL MILEAGE RACE!! Wood Bros. won by not making a pit stop. FUEL MILEAGE SO CALLED RACES HAVE GOT TO GO!! Please Please Please put racing back on the dog gone track.
