With all the great memories at the Nashville Fairgrounds speedway, why would our darn mayor want to get rid of this place? My grandfather raced at the speedway, and I grew up going to the races every Saturday night.. They are campaining really hard to keep the Nashville Tradition alive. With the new speedway built way out in Lebanon, most people that attend Fairgrounds races can not afford those ticket prices. The fairgrounds is cheap, and a lot of fun, especially for families. I want to see our city keep this track. I want to be able to take my son there in a few years when he gets older. Hopefully the mayor will see that this track means more to Nashville - than he thinks - and we will be able to keep it !
