CONNIE MONTOYA PICS

The 2009 season will go down as the year Juan Pablo Montoya made the leap to NASCAR stardom. He has gone from open-wheel pro to stock car noob to Sprint Cup contender. The proof: He made the Chase this season and has finished in the top five in all four Chase races. The woman who has stood by his side during his hard-fought rise is Connie Montoya (maiden name Freydell).
 
Connie is a mother of two. She is involved in the Montoyas' foundation, which helps the poor in their native Colombia. The two met when Connie asked Juan Pablo for his autograph in Miami. They married in 2002. Also, she has freckles. Lots of very fetching freckles.
