Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s No. 88 team remains mired in one of sports’ most miserable losing streaks. SI.com’s Tom Bowles points out that misfortune is spreading across the Hendrick Motorsports garage. Writes Bowles, "You’d think Earnhardt could go to Mark Martin for support, but the disease of discontent has spread to the No. 5. An offseason move to combine both their resources hasn’t clicked, with Martin’s team in the midst of a winless season of their own. Even at their best track, Dover, they lurched home 15th with a handling package that Alan Gustafson claimed is struggling to find speed with the new spoiler."
Is it the spoiler? Or is Dale Earnhardt Jr., as they say in Las Vegas, a cooler?
