Only a real jerk could make Brad Keselowski look like a sympathetic character. Congratulations, Carl Edwards. You have done the impossible. Down 156 laps because of an earlier crash with Keselowski, Edwards turned – and subsequently flipped – Keselowski with three laps to go at the Kobalt Tools 500. It was clearly an act of revenge. Edwards admitted as much, although he said he did not intend to send Keselowski airborne.

In a television interview, Keselowski said that Edwards almost killed him and endangered the lives of the fans in the grandstands. Irony alert: Keselowski got under Edwards in Talladega last year and – although everyone agrees Keselowski did nothing wrong – that crash endangered Edwards’ life and injured several spectators. Let’s go to the video…

Edwards was called to the NASCAR hauler during the race. It is expected that he will be penalized, and will continue to be called a jerk. As will Keselowski. Really, there were no good guys in this thing,
