Rick Hendrick is more George Steinbrenner than Rodney Dangerfield

There is zero reason to believe Jimmie Johnson will chase a win this weekend. He’s not even one of the top 10 drivers in terms of average finish at Homestead. Yet people are putting money on Johnson to win, and he remains the race favorite. Jeff Gordon and Mark Martin haven’t won at Homestead and are second and third in the odds. Mind you, there’s no statistical reason to think any of those three will win. Rick Hendrick, meet George Steinbrenner.

Jack Roush finally might have reason to smile

Greg Biffle owns this track with three career wins. He’s 15/1. Carl Edwards has the highest average finish. He’s 15/1. Jamie McMurray and David Ragan... you can’t win them all.
