Stewart-Haas co-owner Gene Haas was released from prison in time to witness his team's first win of the season at the million-dollar Sprint All-Star Race on Saturday.
Haas served a 16-month federal prison term for tax fraud. He received permission from a federal judge to go to NASCAR events while serving the remainder of his sentence on a supervised release program. Haas partnered with driver Tony Stewart in 2008 while serving his prison term. The driver was given ownership of 50 percent of the Haas team, which has surprised everyone with its success this season.

Is there any history of any kind that links Dale SR. and Gene Haas to a business deal, sponsorship, former employers/employees, former teams or anything racing related?
