GORDON STILL LEADS FLOPPER STANDINGS

Time to update our FLOPPER standings, as we track the performance (or lack thereof) of the worst drivers to start every Sprint Cup race this season.

Robby Gordon and Paul Menard are still holding down the fort. The good news for those two: Bobby Labonte was able to land a ride for the rest of the season, keeping him in contention for the title. Remember, you miss one race and you can’t win the FLOPPER award. We saw strong performances in Atlanta from David Stremme, Menard and Gordon. They finished 14th, 15th, and 16th. Amazing stuff to have all three of them finish in the top 20.  It’s like nobody wants to win the FLOPPER this year. Even Labonte was able to get a lead-lap 18th place finish.  David Ragan’s 33th place is more like it.  He’s still gunning for it, as he got 51 points closer to Robby Gordon.

Kevin Harvick’s second place in Atlanta has dropped him off the first page of these standings. Success will do that to you.
