GRIESE-MONTOYA 'TACO' COMMENT
On Saturday during the Ohio State-Minnesota game, college football announcer Bob Griese made a lame joke about NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Juan Pablo Montoya, for which he later apologized. ABC was promoting its broadcast of the TUMS Fast Relief 500 in Martinsville while showing the top five drivers in the Sprint Cup Series standings on the screen. Broadcaster Chris Spielman asked where the Colombian-born driver Montoya was, because Montoya dropped from the top five following his awful race at Charlotte. Griese replied, "He's out having a taco."

It is all in the spelling you see Col U mbia is S.C. and of course Col O mbia is South America. I did not comment on this story at first, however after seeing the video the statement was in "VERY POOR TASTE" as if it was not ment to be a "ethnic slur" that there would be no cause for an apology. So why some are laughing at this if the shoe was on the other foot and JPM was taking a jab at Americans I wonder if you would be so quick to dismiss the statement? Statement from a redneck..lol.
