KEVIN GRUBB COMMITTED SUICIDE

The Henrico Citizen reports that suspended Nationwide Series driver Kevin Grubb died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.
Grubb, who was 31 years old, was found dead on Wednesday at the Alpine Motel in Richmond. Grubb was given an indefinite suspension by NASCAR in 2006 after his second violation of NASCAR's substance abuse policy. A statement from the Henrico County Police Department in the Richmond Times-Dispatch said, "There were no indications of any drug use found inside the room. A toxicology test was performed on the body, however it may take up to six weeks to get the results back." Grubb was a native of Mechanicsville, Va., which is a suburb of Richmond.
