HENDRICK SAYS NO DEAL WITH DANICA
Danica Patrick is coming to NASCAR, right? Done deal. Sure thing. No brainer ... right? Not so fast, says team owner Rick Hendrick. On Sunday Hendrick said he has no deal in place to bring the IndyCar star Patrick to NASCAR, and added that there is no certainty she'll be driving stock cars next season. A deal between Hendrick and Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s JR Motorsports and Patrick to run a limited Nationwide schedule has long been rumored. From Hendrick's comments, it sounds like Patrick's reps from IMG aren't showing a sense of urgency in getting a deal done.

What's the rush? There's a full-on testing ban at all NASCAR tracks, the season is all but over, so it's not like she can jump in for any races this year, etc... There's still plenty of time to get a deal done and get some seat time before the season starts.
In the meantime, the longer this drags on, the more press she's getting, so it's a win-win for her to let this go on as long as possible.
