J.J. Yeley was taken to the hospital following a short track crash on Saturday night. According to Racin’ Today, Yeley reportedly suffered three broken vertebrae in the crash. He was competing in a race in the Sprint Bandits Series at the half-mile dirt Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan. Yeley made 95 Sprint Cup starts between 2004 and 2008. He was the 2003 USAC Triple Crown champion. Video of the crash can be found after the jump.
