Never let it be said that I don't completely pander to the audience. A little while back I posted a forum question that asked you to name the hottest woman in NASCAR. Naturally, some of you responded Kyle Busch and Jeff Gordon. (And this is why I love you.) But a couple of readers replied with the name of a driver whom I had never heard of -- Kristin Bumbera. So I looked her up. Glad I did.

Bumbera is a 5-foot-9, 120-pound, blonde-haired, blue-eyed driver from Sealy, Texas. She has driven in the NASCAR Whelen Late Model Series, NASCAR Camping World Series and was the 2008 Participant of the Year in the NASCAR Drive for Diversity program. She has 16 career wins, including two in the Whelen All American Series. She currently attends the University of Houston where she is a marketing major. Bumbera was born on Oct. 5, 1987. Today is her 22nd birthday.

I wish her the best of luck, as I hope we will be seeing a lot more of her in coming years.
