Joey Logano flipped seven times during a vicious wreck at the AAA 400 at Dover on Sunday. The accident was serious enough to cause his father Tom to run down from the stands to see his son in the infield care center. In a testament to the safety of NASCAR’s Car of Tomorrow, Logano walked away under his own power. The rookie was treated and released and said he felt fine – just a little shaken – in an interview with ABC.

The crash also collected Martin Truex Jr., Reed Sorenson and Robby Gordon. The whole thing was set off when Logano was bumped by Tony Stewart after Logano bumped Bobby Labonte, which sent Logano into the grass and then back up the track.
