MCMURRAY, POTHOLE, JUNIOR'S RELEVANCE WIN DAYTONA 500

Jamie McMurray overcame a pesky pothole that caused two long red flag delays, a revitalized Dale Earnhardt Jr., the usual assortment of restrictor-plate crashes and his own gentle tears to win the 2010 Daytona 500. Nice-guy McMurray held off a hard-charging Earnhardt in a green-white-checkered overtime finish. But what this race will be remembered for was its length. It lasted more than six hours. You better believe that left Kyle Busch enough time to sneak in a nap. On national television. I wish I was kidding.

McMurray seems like a nice enough guy, and I was glad to see him get the win... Not a Jr fan by any means, but he was getting it done at the end there - thought he was really going to run Jamie down but I guess he didn't have enough left there at the end to take a shot at the win.
