If the old system was in effect, Jimmie would have won 2006 and 2009, Jeff Gordon would hve won 2004 and 2007, and Carl Edwards would have won 2008, Stewart 2005.

I HATE JJ and others like Kyle Bush. Im a fan of the honest racers, Joey Logano, Dale Jr, Kasey Kahne, and from a long time ago, dale Sr and Richard Petty

That JJ is great is with out question..My complaint is that Nascar is not the racing many of us became fans of, long ago..

The format is pitiful. They spend 30 something races getting in the Chase. Then 30 something drivers stay out of thw way of the 12 Chasers. God forbid if you wreck a Chaser. It's really comical. Signed, Not a fan anymore.

Somewhere in the top 50! I have been a race fan for years. JJ has one only when he has Knaus on the box. Unlike JJ, other drivers have been successful at other tracks, series, different cars, etc. This is one feat he has not accomplished. A real driver would be good at all levels, with different cars. Do your research and you will find its the horse not the jockey.

Unparalleled accuracy, unequivocal clarity, and undeniable imptorance!

Hey if it's the horse what's the problem with dale jr. Mark, jeff and jimmie all can get the job done. About only winnig with Kanus he has three other wins with darian grub including the daytona 500. And why do things half @#* like Kyle and Carl running more than one series. Nascar probably dont let the 48 run nationwide so the other guys dont look so bad.

Dale Sr. and Richard Petty didn't cheat. Your nothing but a front-runner,not a race fan!

Jimmie is already in the top 5. After only 8 years that is a great accomplishment. How many titles did Dale Sr. and Richard Petty have after 8 years? I'll tell you that it was not as many as Jimmie.

I hate you guys who say he would not have won under the old format. The old format doesn't exists so just deal with it. The guy can drive and has a great crew chief, team owner and pit crew. Way to go on 4 in a road Jimmie

JJ is overrated...the Chase tracks fit him well. The points format fits him even better. JJ wouldn't be winning this titles under the old format.

Best of this era, possibly all time. They would win under the old format as well.
