NASCAR FINES UNNAMED DRIVERS

Posted 07/26/10 at 3:30 PM PDT by | Email This |

The Associated Press reports that NASCAR has fined at least two star drivers this season for making disparaging comments about the racing series. NASCAR is not publicly identifying the drivers. Anyone care to guess who they are? (Hint: They are probably not Marcos Ambrose.)

We are all better off going to our local tracks on Saturday night. Those folks want to win. There are no TV cameras or pit reporters in their "firesuits". Just drivers against each other and the track.Hard to be loyal to a spoiled brat or any other millionare that says we are being unfair for wanting actual racing. You pay me what these clowns are making, I'll tell you what you want to hear and I'll finish where you tell me to.

I am a #3 fan from way back. The "victory" by Earnhardt Jr. in nationwide was a hoax. NASCAR is now nothing more than WWE. Why has the #48 won the championship four years running? Denny Hamlin is correct. Late race cautions are contrived. NASCAR wants their predetermined outcome. As in Las Vegas, the house always wins since the outcome is known beforehand. It is sad to see what these people have lowered themselves to.

One is clearly Denny Hamlin - he got out of his car after one race and pretty much said the debris caution was completely bogus and manufactured. I bet the other one is Ryan Newman, who after Talladega wouldn't shut up about how it wasn't real racing and fans shouldn't bother coming to races with plates.

i'd guess denny hamlin and jeff gordon. they're both pretty open most of the time when what they think the issues in the sport are.

Brian France and his family has really screwed up NASCAR. It is a shade above wrestling. I am a 60 year old fan of yesterday racing. This joke you have now is embarassing. The Dale, Jr. nationwide joke No. 3 win put the icing on the cake. We all just sit and laugh at the commentators you have in your pocket, and the drivers that are scared, execpt the two that you fined. Who ever you are (drivers) good job.
