NASCAR FOUNDER'S GRANDSON ARRESTED FOR COCAINE POSSESSION
The Daytona Beach News-Journal is reporting that J.C. France, the grandson of NASCAR founder Bill France, and J.C.'s half-brother Russell Van Richmond have been arrested for possession of cocaine and DUI. The men were stopped after midnight by police who caught the two racing each other on the Seabreeze Bridge. Van Richmond, apparently thinking that he was in a movie, or that in some universe this move actually works, threatened a female officer, telling her, "Do you know who I am? I'm a France. We own this city."

France and Van Richmond are roommates. (Hey, nothing says "winner" like 40-something-year-old roommates.) France was driving a green Lamborghini and Van Richmond drove a Porsche sports utility vehicle. France is a driver in the Grand-Am series, which ought to seriously consider putting a race on the Seabreeze Bridge, because apparently you can go really fast on it.
J.C., 43, is the son of Grand-Am founder Jim France. Van Richmond, 40, is the son of a former wife of J.C. France's father.

J.C. and his sister Amy are "platinum spoon in their mouth" reprobates with a history of drug problems. I feel bad for their children! They both serve as tragic "role models" to those kids.
