If you missed the All-Star Race over the weekend because you don’t get SPEED, you’re not going to like this.

The NASCAR Media Group is moving into a new $45 million facility that will give it the ability to launch its own television network. If that network is anything like the NFL Network, it will not be available on every cable/satellite system. The NFL Network has infuriated fans who wanted to watch the net’s exclusive Thursday and Saturday games but live in areas where cable providers have failed to reach an agreement.

No formal announcement has been made regarding the launch of a NASCAR network, but it seems pretty certain that a new network will be created, or NASCAR will purchase SPEED, which is in 75 million homes. NASCAR’s current media contracts expire in 2014.
