NEW CREW CHIEF FOR EARNHARDT?
Look for a major shakeup soon on the No. 88 team. Dale Earnhardt Jr. endured another disappointing run at Michigan, and with the dust settled on the Kasey Kahne deal, Rick Hendrick can once again focus on righting the 88 team. One possible outcome: grab Kenny Francis and put him on the No. 5 car and slide Alan Gustafson over to the 88. This is much more probable than the other logical solution -- finding a new driver.

there is not a driver out there that can drive a car not set up right, when you unload
a car and it runs 20-30 place and you work on it for 2 or 3 hours and maybe more
and that car still is the 20-30 running, it is the crew cheif who is the blame L M
is not good for anyone,he cannot set up a car. to say jr. cannot drive is a joke and
not very smart on who said it. you think what you want and point that finger and
bash all you want,it still will not take away 17 wins and last night from a lap down to 4th finish, he can drive with the right set up as any other driver. put a casey mears in the 48 car and watch him win. not always the driver people.ask any driver from jimmy j. to smoke about a bad car. have a great day.
DW said it and so have others a long time ago. Dale is a great Nationwide driver but he is not a sprint cup driver. He will always run in the middle of the pack no matter who the crew chief is or what car he has. I agree with youther any other driver would have been gone long ago, but Junior brings in sponsor money. Imagine what he'd bring in if he could win.
Enough wasting resources and hurting crew chiefs reputations with the 88. Dale Jr sucks, plain and simple. He couldn't run top 10 even if they give him Chad Knaus. They should keep Martin in the 5 and put Kahne in the 88. Let Joooonyer run for crappy Red Bull. They already run in the back so Jr would fit in just fine.
Any other driver with the same results would have been gone a long time ago. Not a hater, just telling it like it is.
