The controversy over NASCAR’s decision to secretly fine drivers Denny Hamlin and Ryan Newman has raised many eyebrows. Few drivers know the details of what took place and those that do are saying very little. NASCAR, of course, is saying nothing at all.
As if things were not complicated enough already, our own Jay W. Pennell reports on Frontstretch.com that Newman and team owner Tony Stewart seem to have their stories mixed up. To make matters worse, when asked to clarify their comments both drivers refused, only leaving more questions.
