The Saturday night race in Bristol, as usual, produced its fair share of bumping and banging. Clint Bowyer’s Chase hopes came to an end when Joey Logano got into the back of Bowyer after Michael Waltrip crashed, sending the rear of Bowyer’s car into Waltrip’s. In the second crash, shown below, Kevin Harvick proved that no good deed goes unpunished. He saved Bowyer from being wrecked out of the Chase, only to wreck himself. Fifty-one laps later Logano and Waltrip would render Harvick’s act of kindness a useless gesture.
