KESELOWSKI WINS A THRILLER AT TALLADEGA

Brad Keselowski won his first Sprint Cup race after spinning out leader Carl Edwards on the final lap at Talladega on Sunday, sending Edwards airborne into the catch fence, not unlike the Bobby Allison crash in 1987. VIDEO: BOBBY ALLISON 1987 TALLADEGA CRASH

I don't particularly care. The guy is something of a boor, a man who has sometimes been ...

Crash Video of the Week: Bobby Allison at Talladega

Bobby Allison's barrel roll down the frontstretch at Talladega in 1987 is among the more consequential wrecks in NASCAR history -- because of it, NASCAR mandated that horsepower-sapping restrictor plates be used at Talladega Superspeedway and Daytona International Speedway. Having only heard and read about the crash over the years, it's interesting to finally see the video -- yes, it's a spectacular wreck and it's truly a wonder that Allison's car didn't end up in the grandstand ...
