Milka Duno will join Danica Patrick at the ARCA test in Daytona next week, thus ensuring it will be the hair pulling-est, cat fighting-est ARCA test of all time. Duno has never been behind the wheel of a stock car. I am sure the timing is entirely coincidental.

Danica Patrick reportedly will make her NASCAR Nationwide Series debut wearing only a GoDaddy.com bikini at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calif., on Feb. 20 at the Stater Bros. 300. The Los Angeles Daily News says it got the information from "informed sources" - as opposed to the other kind. Fontana is a good choice for Patrick's first race. It is not the most challenging track on the circuit. It is close to Patrick's home in Phoenix. And it is located on the fringe of the country's second-largest media market. Following on the heels of the Feb. 14 Daytona 500, NASCAR can expect to enjoy two solid weeks of major media attention before fading into obscurity to kick off the season.

Danica Patrick is coming to NASCAR. On Tuesday Patrick said that she will race the No. 7 car for JR Motorsports part-time next season in the Nationwide Series. At a press conference that was streamed live to the Internet, Patrick made the announcement alongside JR Motorsports co-owner Kelley Earnhardt and Bob Parsons, CEO of GoDaddy.com, which will be her primary sponsor. Tony Eury Jr. will be Patrick's crew chief. And now we'll never have to write about Danica Patrick ever again.

In any case, Patrick's "big announcement" this morning was somewhat of a dud, unless you're one of the eight IndyCar fans left in the country, and even then, it was probably still a dud. Patrick announced that she has agreed to race IndyCars for Andretti Autosport for the next three seasons and unveiled her new GoDaddy car on "Good Morning America." Patrick made no announcement about NASCAR, but ESPN's David Newton reports that a source close to Patrick said she plans to drive a part-time schedule for JR Motorsports in NASCAR's Nationwide Series in 2010. Danica Patrick is coming to NASCAR, right? Done deal. Sure thing. No brainer ... right? Not so fast, says team owner Rick Hendrick. On Sunday Hendrick said he has no deal in place to bring the IndyCar star Patrick to NASCAR, and added that there is no certainty she'll be driving stock cars next season. A deal between Hendrick and Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s JR Motorsports and Patrick to run a limited Nationwide schedule has long been rumored. From Hendrick's comments, it sounds like Patrick's reps from IMG aren't showing a sense of urgency in getting a deal done.
