Last week’s NASCAR Cup race at Talladega put up some record-setting statistics. Lead changes and number of leaders for a single event now have new heights to match. It was impressive and enjoyable. But it can’t be considered a norm.

Fast forward to the next weekend and the circuit rolls into its first of two annual Richmond weekends. The Virginia three-quarter mile oval is of exceptional design and usually provides great racing. Backing it up to Talladega puts it in a nice spot.

The biggest track and one of the shortest tracks scheduled consecutively provides teams with available equipment and fans with racing variety. The contrasting speedways add some spice often sought in the world of downforce facilities.

Remember that time Kyle Busch said, "We're ten hours from the f$#%ing fun park and you want to bail out. Well I'll tell you something. This is no longer a vacation. It's a quest. It's a quest for fun. I'm gonna have fun and you're gonna have fun. We're all gonna have so much f$#%ing fun we'll need plastic surgeory to remove our smiles. You'll be whistling 'Zip-A-Dee Doo-Dah' out of you're a##holes! I gotta be crazy! I'm on a pilgrimage to see a moose. Praise Marty Moose!"

OK, I don't remember him saying that either. It's a reasonable facsimile of a quote from the movie Vacation. But it sure seems like the kind of thing Kyle would say. Thanks for the trip down Memory Lane, LOL Race Pics.

Beating the best competition is hard; beating inexperienced competition is easy.  Kyle Busch is carving out a niche for himself by losing big titles (he missed the Chase for the Cup) and winning against lesser-experienced racers (recent titles include Pensacola's Snowball Derby and NASCAR's Nationwide Series.)  While he might not do everything it takes to win a Sprint Cup championship, he is gunning for several other titles. Here are five championships Kyle is gunning for in 2010:

Ben Franklin Middle School Soap Box Derby

This should be even easier than winning the San Bernardino County 200 (which Kyle won on Feb. 21, 2009). Kyle has ordered his team of NASCAR engineers to set aside modifying the No. 18 M&M car until they've completed work on his soap box derby racer. These middle school students offer very little competition, just the way Kyle likes it.
