EARNHARDT DRAGGING DOWN MARK MARTIN?

Posted 05/21/10 at 11:20 AM PDT

Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s No. 88 team remains mired in one of sports' most miserable losing streaks. SI.com's Tom Bowles points out that misfortune is spreading across the Hendrick Motorsports garage. Writes Bowles, "You'd think Earnhardt could go to Mark Martin for support, but the disease of discontent has spread to the No. 5. An offseason move to combine both their resources hasn't clicked, with Martin's team in the midst of a winless season of their own. Even at their best track, Dover, they lurched home 15th with a handling package that Alan Gustafson claimed is struggling to find speed with the new spoiler."

Is it the spoiler? Or is Dale Earnhardt Jr., as they say in Las Vegas, a cooler?

JEFF GORDON VOTED TOP DRIVER OF THE QUARTER-YEAR

Posted 04/29/09 at 12:32 PM PDT

Motorsports writers and broadcasters have voted Jeff Gordon the top driver of the first quarter of the year. Gordon, who took eight of 18 first-place votes, edged out Kyle Busch 111-107. Mark Martin received two first-place votes. Voters considered drivers from all circuits.

Gordon, Busch and Martin are among the favorites to win this Saturday at the Russ Friedman 400 in Richmond.

I dug up this video (below), which was filmed about a month ago. If you're a Busch hater, you are not going to like it. If you are a Gordon AND Busch hater, this will pretty much make you want to throw up.
