Who will be the first woman to win a Sprint Cup race? Will it be Danica Patrick? (Provided she strikes a deal with a NASCAR team, of course.) Or will history be made by someone already climbing the ranks of stock car racing? Someone being groomed by Eddie D'Hondt's Women's Initiative in Racing? Someone like Tiff Daniels?

Daniels, 24, is an engineer with Earnhardt Ganassi Racing who is making the jump from support engineer to driver. She just wrapped up a season driving for Hamilton Racing in the Camping World Series East as part of NASCAR's Drive For Diversity program. She graduated magna cum laude from UNC Charlotte in 2007 with a degree in mechanical engineering, concentration in motorsports, and is currently working as a support engineer with driver Juan Pablo Montoya's team as he races in the Chase for the Sprint Cup. The Sporting News speculates that Daniels could be in the Nationwide Series in 2011 and Sprint Cup by 2012.
