Mr. Reynolds, you are on point. This has been the problem for a while. What about Rockingham? Attendance was bad because your in North Carolina in February. I was born in September of 1989, I became a race fan before I could even remember it. I've been to race's all over the southeast, multiple times. Last year, I only went to one race, I've only been to the dirt track this year. What I am getting at is that I am one of those persons that has lost interest in NASCAR. It's sad, I want to want to sit down on Sunday or Saturday night and relax and watch the race, grill out, like we used to. But, for some reason, Brian France has killed us, worried so much about that dollar. I agree with you, it is very ironic that Richard Childress the car owner of Dale Earnhardt's Number 3 would be the one who would punch a driver for something of that matter. However, I can only see that Earnhardt's Legacy was not automatic, he was disliked very much by fans and other drivers in his early career. But, that was a different time as well, Earnhardt had a different personality. In many ways Kyle Busch is like Dale Earnhardt. But, In many ways is he very different. I'm going to agree with both of you. Yes, plate races can be flukes but think about Earnhardt in 98 after trying for 20 years being a 7 time champion but not being able to get the biggest race in all of NASCAR... To say that Carl Edwards should have won the race...No. If Carl had done everything right he could and would have won the race. But the fact of the matter is that Bayne did everything right that he needed to do and in fact won the Daytona 500. Look at what Jamie McMurray did last year, he won at Indy after the 500. With a few exceptions Michael Waltrip (the worst driver in NASCAR.) and maybe he's not an exception when you win the Daytona 500 you have something to show for and motivation to go out there and do your very best... Man I am in that same boat with you. In 2001 I was a hardcore Terry Labonte fan and yet to forget or forgive the 99 Bristol incident. Yet, that day I realized something big happened. I had watched the race at my house, later I had gone to my neighbors house and we we're watching the news and they told us. I immediately ran home to tell my dad what had happened. I was only in the seventh grade but I remember going to Bristol later than year and it being different.... But never did i realize how much of an impact he had on this sport until after he was gone.
