The Sprint Cup Series makes its annual stop at Watkins Glen on Sunday.  Road courses are a bane for many drivers, and The Glen has produced more than its share of wrecks since it began playing host to Sprint Cup events in 1986.  Perhaps one of the most notable is the crash in the picture above, which happened on Aug. 10, 2008.  The crash involved nine cars and sent driver Bobby Labonte to the hospital.  Watch the video after the jump.

 

 

 

This crash in turn five sidelined Kendall for more than a year.  The 6-foot-6 driver broke both of his legs in the devastating head-on collision with the tire barrier.  Veteran NASCAR driver J.D McDuffie was killed a month later when his car left the track in the same area.  Watkins Glen officials rebuilt turn five, transforming it into a chicane to slow cars down.
 

 

This is probably one of the most overplayed crash videos ever, but we are showing it because it affirms our belief that Johnson is not human.
